Refund and withdrawal policy
Last updated: 1 August 2026
14-day withdrawal right
Consumers in the European Union generally have 14 days from the conclusion of a distance service contract to withdraw without giving a reason.
Digital services and content
If you expressly request that a service starts during the withdrawal period, a proportional amount may remain payable for the service supplied before your request. For digital content not supplied on a physical medium, the withdrawal right may be lost only after your prior express consent and your acknowledgement of that loss, where the law allows it.
Subscription cancellation
Cancelling recurring renewal is separate from exercising the statutory withdrawal right. You can stop future renewal from your billing area. Access remains governed by the period already paid for and the conditions displayed at purchase.
How to submit a request
Send your unambiguous request to support@chiwabooks.com. Include:
- your full name and account email;
- the order date and payment provider;
- the order, invoice or payment reference;
- whether you request withdrawal, cancellation or another refund.
You may use this wording: “I hereby notify you that I withdraw from the contract for the ChiwaBooks service ordered on [date].”
Refund method and timing
When a refund is legally due, it is made no later than 14 days after we are informed of the withdrawal, using the original payment method unless another method is expressly agreed and does not create costs for you.
This policy supplements the terms of sale and use and does not limit mandatory consumer rights.
